Sinigang sa Miso is a soup that I love to cook whenever it is cold or rainy. This version of Sinigang soup is blended with bean curd paste, which gives it a very unique flavor. To make this even tastier, I used an Atlantic salmon fish instead of the usual milkfish. I have included the actual brand of the ingredients in the pictures so that you will get the same results that I have. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1.1 kg Salmon Fish or other alternatives (steak or fillet cut)
  • 1 pack Miso / Bean Curd Paste
  • 1 1/2 pack Knorr Sinigang Mix
  • 2 cups Okra
  • 6 Tomatoes, quartered
  • 1 bunch Mustard Leaves or other alternatives
  • 3 Green Peppers
  • 1 large Onion, sliced
  • 4 thumbs Ginger, julienned
  • 8 cups Water
  • 2 tablespoon Fish Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper

Directions

  1. In a large pot, saute onions and ginger then add miso bean curd paste
  2. Add 8 cups of water and tomatoes then let it boil over medium to high heat
  3. After the water starts to boil, add the Knorr Sinigang mix, green peppers, and stir.
  4. Add the Salmon Fish cover and let it re-boil
  5. Add fish sauce and ground black pepper to taste
  6. Put in the okra, mustard leaves and let it cook for 5 more minutes on low heat
  7. Serve and enjoy
