SINIGANG NA HIPON | SHRIMP IN TAMARIND SOUP

It doesn’t get any better than a good shrimp in tamarind soup or Sinigang Na Hipon recipe. Whether you’re cooking for yourself or serving for dinner, this dish will be loved by all who taste it! And with such an easy preparation time, there’s no excuse not to try out this dish tonight!

 

Ingredients 

  • 1kg Shrimp or Hipon
  • 3pcs Long Green Pepper
  • 1 bunch Pepper leaves
  • 1 bunch String beans cut into 3 inches
  • 2 cups okra
  • 4 pcs medium size Tomato, quartered
  • 1 pc Onion, quartered
  • 1 pack Knorr Sinigang sa Sampalok Mix
  • 1 pc Radish, sliced
Directions
  1. Pour 3 liters of water in a pot together with the tomatoes, onion, radish and chili pepper
  2. Let it boil then add the Shrimp and continue to cook for about 5 minutes
  3. Add the Knorr Sinigang Mix and stir
  4. Add salt and pepper to taste
  5. Put in all the rest of the ingredients (pepper leaves, okra, string beans)
  6. Cover and let it cook for 5-10 more minutes
  7. Serve and enjoy Sinigang na Hipon!
