MAPLE GLAZED SALMON | PAN FRIED

Ingredients

  • 1 Salmon Fish fillet (Sockeye, Atlantic or Coho)
  • 1/2 cup Salt
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Maple Syrup
  • 4 tablespoons Cooking Oil
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
Directions
  1. Wash, clean and dry the fish and lay it flat on a container
  2. Cure the fish by sprinkling with equal parts of salt and sugar on both sides and let it sit for 20 minutes
  3. Rinse the fish in ice water then pat dry with a paper towel
  4. Pre-heat oil in a pan or over medium-high heat.
  5. Fry the salmon for about 3-5 minutes each side until crispy and golden.
  6. Glaze with maple juice
  7. Serve hot with your favorite salad or use it as a topping for your rice bowl.
