If you’re looking for the perfect appetizer to serve at your next gathering, look no further. These fried garlic shrimp are quick and easy and will surely please a crowd. You can’t really go wrong with fried seafood, but what sets these apart is that they’re coated in a light garlic butter sauce after frying – it’s like an extra layer of flavor on top of the crispy crust. If you want to take this recipe up a notch, add some lemon juice or hot sauce as well!
The moment I first tasted these fried garlic shrimp I knew I had to share them with all my friends so we could enjoy them together. They’re not only delicious but also simple enough to make anytime any day of the week.

 

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs shrimp
  • 3/4 cup Sprite
  • 3/4 cup fried garlic
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 4 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoon fish sauce
  • salt to taste

Directions

  1. Bring Sprite soda to a boil then add pepper and fish sauce
  2. Add shrimp and cook for 4 minutes then turn and cover
  3. When shrimp is cooked, drain and remove the liquid
  4. Add garlic, butter and sugar
  5. Mix and cook for a few more minutes under low to medium heat
  6. Add salt to taste
  7. Serve hot and enjoy
