Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs

  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup pickle relish
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the ground pork, bread crumbs, raisins, carrots, red and green bell peppers, and onion until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and add the milk, soy sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, pickle relish, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  4. Pour the egg mixture into the bowl with the pork mixture, and mix until well combined.
  5. Take a sheet of aluminum foil and lay it flat on a clean surface. Spoon the pork mixture onto the foil and shape it into a rectangular log, about 2 inches in diameter and 8-10 inches long.
  6. Roll the aluminum foil around the pork mixture to create a tight seal, twisting the ends to secure.
  7. Place the foil-wrapped embutido on a baking sheet, and steam or bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.
