If you’re a fan of seafood, you’re sure to love this garlic Dungeness crab recipe. With its rich, buttery flavor and succulent meat, Dungeness crab is a favorite of seafood lovers all over the world. And when you add fragrant garlic and fresh parsley to the mix, you end up with a dish that’s as delicious as it is impressive.

To start, you’ll need two large Dungeness crabs, each weighing around 3-4 pounds. Rinse the crabs under cold running water and pat them dry with paper towels. Then, break off the legs and claws from the body of each crab and set them aside. Discard the crab’s apron, gills, and any other inedible parts.

Next, fill a large pot with about 2 inches of water and bring it to a boil. Add the crab legs and claws and steam them for 5-10 minutes, or until the meat is fully cooked and the crabs turn a bright orange-red color. Once the crabs are cooked, remove them from the pot and set them aside.

Now it’s time to make the garlic butter sauce. In a separate pan, melt 1/2 cup of butter and 1/4 cup of olive oil together over medium heat. Add 1/2 cup of chopped garlic and sauté for 2-3 minutes, or until fragrant.

Once the garlic is fragrant, add the crab legs and claws to the pan and toss them to coat evenly with the garlic butter sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the crab is heated through and fully coated with the sauce.

Finally, it’s time to serve the garlic Dungeness crab. Garnish the dish with chopped fresh parsley for an extra pop of color and flavor, and season with salt and pepper to taste. This dish is best served immediately, while the crab is still hot and the garlic butter sauce is still rich and flavorful.

Whether you’re serving this garlic Dungeness crab recipe as a main course for a special dinner party or simply indulging in a decadent seafood feast at home, you’re sure to love the rich, buttery flavor and tender, juicy texture of this classic dish.
