Ingredients

  • 6-8 pcs large Pork Chops
  • 1-2 lbs Sliced Cremini or their larger version the Portobello mushrooms
  • 3 cups Chicken Stock or 1/2 Knorr Chicken cube dissolved in 3 cups of water
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 3 tbsp Butter
  • 3 tbsp flour dissolved in 1/2 cup of water
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Fish Sauce
  • 1 tsp Dijon Mustard
  • Salt and Pepper to Taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  2. Clean and dry 6-8 large pork chops, then sprinkle them with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Grease a baking dish with cooking spray or butter, then arrange the pork chops in the dish.
  4. Bake the pork chops for 30 minutes, or until browned. Halfway through the baking time, remove the liquid stock so that the pork chops will brown more easily.
  5. While the pork chops are baking, prepare the mushroom gravy. Melt 3 tablespoons of butter in a large pan over medium heat.
  6. Add 1-2 pounds of sliced Cremini or Portobello mushrooms to the pan, cover, and stir occasionally until the mushrooms are soft and juicy.
  7. Add 3 cups of chicken stock (or 1/2 Knorr chicken cube dissolved in 3 cups of water) to the pan, and continue cooking until it boils.
  8. Lower the heat and add 1 cup of heavy cream, 3 tablespoons of flour dissolved in 1/2 cup of water, 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce, 1 tablespoon of fish sauce, and 1 teaspoon of Dijon mustard.
  9. Stir the gravy well, and add salt and pepper to taste.
  10. Once the pork chops are done baking, remove them from the oven and pour the mushroom gravy over the top.
  11. Reduce the oven temperature to 350°F, cover the dish with foil, and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes to allow the flavors to blend together.
  12. Once the dish is done baking, remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
